Matthew Helt is the Global Director of Techstars Startup Week, an event that catalyzes and celebrates startup ecosystems all around the world. To do this, he works with grassroots organizers to bring the event to cities large and small. In addition to his community building work, Matthew is also an advocate for mental health awareness and volunteers as an advisor for Open Labs, an organization seeking to end the stigma of mental illness. Having struggled with a lifetime of mental illness himself, he now speaks about the importance of founders seeking help right away to avoid the problems he encountered.
During this episode, we spoke about a recent blog post that Matt wrote and how he stays heathy under pressure while working and encouraging startup founders. You can connect with Matt on Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin.
